Aug 10, 2007 - The Wedding of Christina and Frank

Christina's expression was priceless the first time she saw Frank on their wedding day. It was equally as priceless the last time she saw her father as a single woman.

I know I must sound like a broken record but my clients are the best! Wedding days should be filled with emotions and a roller coaster of them. It's normal, it's natural, it's lovely. I love having the opportunity to capture these moments and preserve them for years to come. I applaud Frank for putting himself on the line every day as a Philadelphia Police Officer and he showed his talents by promptly cuffing Christina to himself after the kiss. To this they were greeted with applause, laughter and cheers. So many really lovely details throughout the day from his grooms cake to the wheat grass that held the guest seating cards. Another trend this particular evening was the way that Christina so gingerly fed Frank their wedding cake... The ladies this year have really let the gentleman have it, but to laugh and to kiss and to relish in the cake is to know that love knows no bounds, icing included!

Aug 4, 2007 - The wedding of Janell and Patrick

It was a balmy August morning when Lori and I set out to make the trek to shoot Janell and Pat's wedding. Hmmm, I wonder if this heat will dissipate as the day goes on or are we in for it later? Well, despite the unforgiving heat and sun the day was wonderful and filled with what I like to call Janellisms. I found Janell to be the type of person that just makes you want to smile. Her bubbly and matter of fact personality had us cracking up countless times. A Janellism is a statement made with such candor and truth that you are just so happy to be dealing with someone "real" and I was more than happy to be in this position. Pat's quiet and gentle demeanor just had a way of making you feel calm and ready to take on anything. These are the conditions that make my day! Two kids in love and loving that they are in love and family and friends that love them being in love. Did I mention that I love this family! I had the pleasure of shooting their family portrait session last summer in Ocean City and then baby Eva shortly there after and now Janell's and Pat's wedding. They are all just such warm and welcoming people, the type of people that you can only hope to come across your path, so thanks to you all and thank you especially for allowing me to share in so many of your milestones and hopefully many more! Stay tuned for Janell's post bridal session on the 26th of August.

7-28-07 Roslyn and Adam's E-session

Life can be funny sometimes. People cross your path and you never know when you may see them again. Roles can sometimes be reversed and in this instance they were and I'm much happier for it. Adam and Roslyn are getting married! Yay! It seems like a lifetime ago that Adam was one of my up and coming managers. Now I have the pleasure of working for him! We had the best time in Baltimore doing their E-session! I had some locations in mind so we started at the Harbor and worked our way in and around Fells point. So much beauty and texture! I thoroughly enjoyed myself and hope you two did as well!

7-22-07 The Wedding of Jennifer and Ray

I had the best time today shooting Jen and Ray's wedding. These two were so great to work with from their completely awesome attitudes and amazing families to the fun and antics of their friends. The ceremony was held outside underneath a breathtaking sky behind the Sayen house. A very intimate reception to follow. The family and friends in attendance were just really cool people and made me feel so welcomed. The images, well beautiful of course!

July 21 - The wedding of Lanay and Brian

Every detail of the day was planned and executed to perfection. Lanay inspires me in this way. We started off the day getting ready in a lush suite at The Rittenhouse Hotel in Philadelphia overlooking the park.. Beautiful natural light cascaded into every room creating a warm and inviting space. The flowers were gorgeous, the bridesmaids a joy and the kids so very well behaved. The ceremony took place at the breathtaking Church of the Holy Trinity. There were some really cool details at the reception held at The Venice Plaza. My two favorites were the Martini luge and the most original thank you I've ever witnessed. The bride and Groom wrote and set to beats a rap. The crowd loved it! I laughed and was highly entertained as well so much so that I too applauded and stood up. The vibe all day was just this really cool everything falling in place and good times kinda feeling. I guess there is a lot to be said about the kind of people that Lanay and Brian are, well loved and respected by all and just a tremendous joy to work with. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for letting me share in all of the wonderful components of this day! You both truly are sweethearts by day and rock stars by night!

7-16 Sarah and Jesse - Post Bridal Session

Normally I post a handful of my favorite images from a session. Normally... This time I just couldn't narrow down my choices to just a few. I narrowed the hundreds down to my fave 30 and then narrowed a bit more to get to these. So Sarah and Jesse and your gorgeousness, thanks to such an amazingly fun shoot. Thanks for indulging me and always saying yes, yes, yes we'll try that. I love these images and I hope other brides will opt for a post bridal session and see that it's not just about trashing the dress but more about getting great shots in locations that perhaps on your wedding day you wouldn't have tried. Brave soul that Sarah is, well she took a swim in hers and the surf was merciless! Atlantic City was a perfect backdrop and offered us urban and beach locations within minutes of each other. The weather was mild and a bit on the foggy side so it made for nice drama. I can't say enough about how exhilarating it is for me to shoot without constraint and feed the artist side of my photographic needs. I hope you love these teasers as much as I do.

On another note keep your eyes posted for my next post bridal. The lovely Janell and Patrick on the 26th. Lakes and barns and fishing oh my! I'm extending this session free of charge to all 2007 and prior brides. So if you are interested in putting your dress back on and going to some cool locations and having fun while getting incredible shots just email me and it's on! 2008 pricing will offer this session at a rate of $500 to include a 1-4 hour session and coffee table book.
