Introducing "The Girl"

Kristin was about 12 years old when "the girl" appeared on the scene. I vaguely remember the conversation but it went something like this..."Kris do you have my 5 dollars? No, the girl has it. Well can the girl give it to me? No, she's in Florida picking oranges." I was perplexed but soon discovered that "The Girl" would appear and disappear convenient to chores, infractions and mystery issues. "The Girl," well she's quite the jet setter and I think Kris enjoys contriving stories about where the girl is and why certain things go undone.

On another note I am so HAPPYYYYYYYYY! Kris got her first job! Yay! I'm so proud of her. We did a mock interview and I was amazed at how articulate she is. She beat out 18 other applicants and for her very first interview ever this is quite an accomplishment. She loves fashion, hair, make-up etc... So having a job is essential. Besides I think she needs the character and discipline that only a manager not a mother can give her. Kudos to Kristin and the start of her life in the workforce!

Lilli's Day in the Grass

This is Lilli K. She is not a dog! Don't ever tell her she is because I think she may suffer some kind of mental trauma. She'll be 9 months old on the 12th and despite her mere 2.5 lbs she carries herself like a 150 lb Rottweiller. Mind you I have Never been a pet person. I blame it on my childhood- long story. Basically girl meets dog, dog runs away, girl misses dog, girl never wants another pet... Then along came Lilli. She fills this void short of having another baby! Yeah I said it... I take it back though. I really don't want a baby at this stage in my life. My daughter is 16 almost 17 and as life would have it is developing a life of her own and doesn't appear to need her mommy as much as she once did. Lilli helps me connect with what's good and pure in life. Blind love so unconditional. She is the cutest puppy and has the most comical mannerisms! You'll see her pop up now and then in my blogs. I never thought I could be a dog lover. But I am and believe me, sometimes I think those walks in the city do me more good than her!

Sunday 5-6-07, Lilli's first time ever running with freedom off of her leash. In the backyard she tasted reckless abandonment =)~ She even encountered the neighbors dog, lucky for us there is a fence! I think she is part bunny the way that she jumps! Good times.

WPPI- Las Vegas

I recently attended the WPPI trade show and convention in Las Vegas. What an amazing experience. To be surrounded by the most talented and renown Wedding and Portrait photographers from around the world is just such a liberating experience. The show took place at Bally's and Paris and when I say there was a buzz in the air that would be an understatement. Photographers every where just milling about, cameras in hand shooting everything. Vendors showcasing the most in demand and innovative products! So much to absorb. I just loved seeing all the new stuff and can't wait to pass along all of these products and services to my clients. Most of all I enjoyed the seminars given by the top photographers in this industry. Such Dynamic personalities reassuring me that I am truly doing what I love. I came back from Vegas with a renewed drive and such inspiration to continue growing as a photographer and providing for my clients a product that they will love and love to talk about! Here are a few pics of Vegas at night.

The New Blog has arrived!!!

So as I attempted to get some work done today before I had to leave to shoot Jean Marie and Brian's engagement session I checked my email then reviewed some poses that I wanted to incorporate into our session. I often scour the internet for beautiful images and with my new found enthusiasm after recently returning from WPPI I totally wanted to be fresh after a cold and lackluster winter. I came across some truly amazing blogs and photoblogs. Well this completely shot my schedule and to do list for today =) What I found was so much more rewarding than I could ever truly know...That is, I found that I am completely in love with what I do. I have a passion for creating and capturing beautiful moments. I get excited before a photo session or wedding as if it was one of my firsts. I love to look at the work of photographers from everywhere, more importantly I am in awe of the beauty that they capture and strive every day to better my art and that is what keeps me going... So welcome to my blog! Please feel free to comment and if I'm so lucky as to have blog stalkers then check back frequently, bookmark me!
