Molly and Lee - Engagement Session
I often wonder if we ever really get lost...Maybe it's meant to be, maybe it's just so we can discover something we may not have seen otherwise. I can remember my father jokingly taking "the scenic" route frequently when we traveled.
Lori, Katie and I took "the scenic" route when we met with Molly and Lee for their engagement session. Good thing because our discovery was this amazing 100 year old chapel with the most gorgeous detailed arches and stone. What a wonderful backdrop for such a great couple. Molly and Lee were a lot of fun and we thank you for sharing the afternoon with us. Lee even had a few battle wounds but that didn't stop him from running in the weeds, scooping Molly up or even a fun little piggy back ride. I'm sure the wedding is going to be as much of a pleasure to shoot as this session was! Here are a few of my faves from the day.

Mia and Sean - Engagement Session
Mia's excitement for the shoot was contagious. This is a couple who are truly up for anything and I can't wait to shoot the wedding! The venue will have amazing photo opps and best of all I love when my clients just let me do what I do! Not once was there even a question of what we were doing even when we walked along the center median amidst traffic (no brides or grooms were harmed in the process of taking these pictures =). We got so many great and fun shots and they will make for a beautiful engagement book. I don't want to tempt fate or anything but ... another gorgeous day! Cindy 9, mother nature = a big fat zero woohooooo! Thanks mother nature, I'm a fan this year. Mia and Sean, thanks for the Italian restaurant recommendations. I love food finds!

Look at those Baby Blues! Domino- 5/15 Portrait Session
Today I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with little miss Domino. What a beautiful day for a photo shoot! Sometimes I really prefer photographing children rather than adults. They are just so beautiful in their innocence. They haven't yet developed the sense of disdain that we can sometimes get for having our pictures taken. Domino was such a joy. A real pro for her very first session! She just owned the camera and I was in awe of how captivating her gaze was. So we hung out and rolled around in the grass and weeds and just had some fun. What could be better for a warm and sunny afternoon in Philadelphia!

Chio in the Morning! May 10, 2007
What do skies mysteriously clearing up, golf cart deputies, FBI warnings, a $26.00 parking ticket and little Sammy kissing Lilli all have in common???? Why it's a shoot with Chio and the Morning show of course! Chio, Justice, Ryan and G-N joined me on an interesting afternoon outing to shoot some new head shots and group shots.
We started off at a location that we cannot disclose or else we were told that the FBI will come scoop us up and imprison us all since we were illegally there and looked like a national threat...(seriously not making this up =) the security guard was very stern with us behind our backs talking loudly on her celly- where you at...) I think that Sammy is the culprit- he's vicious! We are gonna call this place Chio's landing for arguments sake. What began as an overcast morning evolved into a bright and beautiful fluffy cloud kinda day. Perfect for a photo shoot! So for all you P-1 listeners out there, yes, they are just as nice and vibe just as well with each other in person as they do on the air. They were so cool to work with and made my job fun as well as easy. We moved on to our second location but not before discovering a parking ticket on my windshield. Very suspicious I don't think I was there long enough for my meter to expire. Parking Authority- they are like Spiderman appearing out of nowhere. Anyways, I was rewarded with perfect lighting and a crew who despite having been up nearly 12 hours already to my 4 were so at ease and nailed everything that I asked of them. Thank you guys for a great shoot and it was truly my pleasure! Afterwards G-N and I thought that the puppies were overdue for a play date so we headed back to my office where Lilli got to meet Samurai for the first time. OMG! How much cuter can you get!!! They went non stop playing for close to an hour. Simply adorable, when he left he was sure to plant a goodbye kiss on her cheek. Look for them both to appear in a new clothing line designed by G-N. Overall a memorable day filled with great blog worthy moments.

Isn't she Lovely.....Sofia 2 weeks old 5-10-07
I went to Northeast Philadelphia for baby Sofia's first photoshoot on Thursday. She is 2 weeks old with a beautiful set of lungs and an unbelievable head of hair. What a little peanut! Everything about her was all girl on the outside from her dainty and slender fingers to her gorgeous locks. On the inside she surprised me with her will and independence. She was so unbelievably strong for a 2 week old. She stayed awake the entire session, ate about 3 times and I swore at one point she was going to get up on her knees and crawl! Well, I'm sure not actually but it sure looked that way. Babies amaze me. They are just so precious and innocent. I love the smell of babies and the softness of their skin and hair. They are only this little once and they grow so fast this is why I love to document the little details. In the blink of an eye they are a teenager asking for the keys to the car! So, enjoy the time you have with your babies and may they all be as sweet as little Sofia!
I had a lot of fun doing this session. Babies are always challenging. You never know if you are going to get a great shot because they really haven't learned yet how to communicate with you and vice versa. Patience is key. I have found that if you just wait and watch you can definitely capture their personality, it only takes a split second to get that glimpse. Thank you Sofia for letting me catch a few glimpses!
The wedding of Andrea and Marc 5-5-07
Woohooooooo! The score is Cindy- 3, Mother Nature - 0. Yeah that's right. A gorgeous day for a wedding at the beach. Ocean City Nj bound today for the wedding of Andrea and Marc. Marc is a videographer for all of you out in Blogland who may be looking for a videographer. I love his vision and style of shooting so I was anxious to shoot this wedding. I actually lost sleep over it! I ran shot lists and ideas through my head all night long and drove myself crazy. I make myself crazy because I care and today it paid off!
The beach house where they were getting ready was perfect. Two levels, separate entrances same location. How ideal! Andrea was simply stunning. Her gown fit her perfectly- even after we altered it on site (we removed a wire that she just couldn't stand). Beautiful natural light, adorable flower girl and 8 bridesmaids to take care of everything. What more could you ask for. Marc was so handsome and we got some excellent shots of him getting ready. Let's never forget the grooms! It's their day too. After a beautiful ceremony we headed off to the beach for their portraits. The wind was a bit chilly and blowing sand and everyone around but you would never know how cold the girls were by looking at the images. They were all such troopers. As I was shooting I couldn't believe how things just flowed. Thanks to Marc and Andrea for being so patient and indulging me in my need to shoot, shoot, shoot. They even came out later for some shots near sunset, unfortunately the clouds took over and we really didn't get much color in the sky. They are a class act! They sat us at a table so that we could get our food when they got theirs this way we could be taking pictures when they were ready and not starving. It worked out beautifully. The reception shots were such fun, I don't think the dance floor was ever empty. The Flander's was a great venue and really captured that Beach feel in an elegant way. I don't think I've ever had Mack and Manco's pizza and filet in the same place =)~ Yum yum yum, Thanks Marc for the suggestion!
The Wedding of Sarah and Jesse 4-14-07
She's so sweet and willing to do anything including being carried over deer poop into an expansive field just to get the shot! His smile comes so effortlessly and I can see how it melts her heart! Together they make such a wonderful compliment to each other.
The day started off with some truly amazing detail shots of Sarah's flowers and rings. The lighting was excellent outside, slightly overcast - no harsh light. In Sarah's room the natural light cascaded in creating a perfect balance for capturing all of those moments. They opted to see each other prior to their sunset ceremony. I'll never forget the way that Jesse smiled ear to ear as he rounded the corner and saw Sarah for the first time. So much love in the air today! Let's just say that from beginning to end they were an amazing couple to deal with and I also give props to their bridal party! They were so supportive and played along with us on all our crazy requests. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!

Jeanmarie and Brian Engagement Session 4-9-07
A sunny afternoon and even sunnier clients! Jeanmarie and Brian were such a breath of fresh air! They were just so much fun to shoot! They chose a few spots in Philly that they liked to hang out at and we just had a great time. What I loved most was their relaxed personalities and not being afraid to be quirky or silly. I could tell though that the silliness stopped when Brian kissed Jeanmarie. They are in love and it shows and I can't wait to be there to shoot the wedding. I just know that we are going to have the greatest time catching all of the wonderful moments of the day!
I'm so happy that the weather is changing for the better. I really hope that this is an indication of how my luck will be this year. So far so good as you can see by the bright blue beautiful sky and equally beautiful clouds. Score= Cindy- 1, Mother Nature - 0. The wedding will be on 7-7-07 we'll all make sure to play that number that day =)~
